What is ASMR?

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.

My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or “tingles”, but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to relieve their anxiety relief, stress relief, insomnia relief, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, to serve as a study aid and much more.

  1. Mr. Rift Im so sad that you didnt continue in your Skyrim series. Im listening to it over and over, especially the PC parts are awesome backround sounds for me, Im using it instead of music during work. Thanks for making them and Im still hoping for more :).

  2. I love your Let’s Play series and this one is my go-to fave. One small request if possible–could you reduce your s’s? I love your voice, it’s perfect for ASMR, but sometimes the s comes out high and whistle-y. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDEOS! YOU ARE AWESOME!!

  3. Get the bigger trees mod and something like sounds of skyrim or a similar mod, I guarantee it’ll feel twice as atmospheric.

  4. Have you thought of doing a Skyrim roleplaying ASMR video? You could film it outdoors, like you often do, or even inside and you could still probably pull off the setting pretty well. I think it could potentially be pretty great. No shouting though, ha.

  5. Hey ER, there is a cool mod/set of mods called "Sounds of skyrim" on the steam workshop. It adds loads of different sounds to the game, like if your in a big town with walls you can hear faint chats and whilst walking outside you can hear bugs buzzing around your ear. Its really amazing

  6. Fantastic video, could be better though if you could avoid killing throughout the process next time, if there’s a mod or a peaceful mode feature.

  7. Hey ER, I love your gameplay videos! I think you should look into a game called Space Engine. It’s a free space exploration game based on gathered NASA astronomical data. I think it’d make a really rad ASMR/relaxation vid… just a suggestion. Thanks man!

  8. This was super relaxing, I turned this on to inspire me to play Skyrim next thing I know I am waking up in the morning

  9. My job is Skyrim by day, and I use asmr by night. This video is planet aligning for me. Huge fan, keep up the great work.

  10. I’d just like to say thank you a hella lot for all these. They really help my stress ooze off my mind. It also helps me feel a little better when I’m playing skyrim myself, cause I listen to you and it makes me feel like I have a friend playing it with me! ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh, and it was really sweet when you accidentally took all the witches clothes and you were all "Oh-… uh, sorry…" That made me smile. ๐Ÿ™‚ thank you again, and I hope your channel gets immensely larger, because you are easily the best ASMRer in town.ย

  11. I have never – in my around 1000hours of playtime – seen random NPCs just swimming around in the water when there’s no danger around… xD
That part was just hilarious xD

  12. I always knew I should’ve explored more videos from your channel. I’m glad I came across Skyrim series. This episode was especially relaxing, your voice and the footsteps balanced with nature sounds and Skyrim’s music. It did put me in a very melancholic and balanced state of mind, which was what I needed lately cause of my stressful days. Thank you ๐Ÿ˜

  13. I really like your videos you can just close your eyes and you will wanna go to sleep its just so relaxing thanks

  17. I almost felt like I was on the gentle rocking of the Alaskan cruise sitting out on the deck wrapped in a blanket with only my girl. everyone else retreated inside out of the cold.

beyond relaxation. perfect for after work drive home. thx.

  18. Wow I didn’t know about ASMR but I experienced everything it was supposed to do. Good job keep up the good work you’ve got yourself a subscriber. Not to mention I love rpg games, I look forward to more vids like this if possible thanks.
